Our client is embarking on a major transformation programme to replace its current Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) system ahead of critical business and technology deadlines. This programme is currently in the Initiation / Discovery phase, focusing on defining the strategy, assessing potential solutions, and understanding the business impact of the transition. We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Programme Delivery Lead to support the successful delivery of this high-profile programme on an inside IR35 contract. This role plays a crucial part in overseeing the day-to-day programme activities, ensuring workstreams remain on track, and supporting key programme activities from planning through to execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme Support: Working with the PMO Lead, assist with the day-to-day running of the programme, maintaining oversight of milestones, risks, and dependencies.
- Procurement Support: Support activities related to the Request for Proposal (RFP) and vendor procurement process, working closely with commercial and legal teams.
- Business Case Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to support preparation of a robust business case that aligns with organisational goals and governance requirements.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Engage with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent communication and progress across all programme areas.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to improve programme delivery processes and ways of working.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in delivering complex programmes, ideally involving ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
- Demonstrated involvement in early programme phases such as discovery, scoping, or feasibility assessment.
- Experience managing external delivery partners such as System Integrators.
- Strong understanding of programme lifecycle, governance, and commercial processes (including RFPs and procurement).
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and coordinate across diverse groups.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in business case development and supporting investment decisions.
- Comfortable working at pace and managing competing priorities.
- Experience in a regulated or corporate environment (e.g., aviation, transport, public sector) is desirable.
