Procurement Analyst

  • Full-time – office based; minimum 3 days in Reading office per week
  • Employment Type: Permanent

This is an exciting role based within the procurement team of a global company. The role will report into the Senior Purchasing Manager.

The role will require you to create reports, analyse data and support benchmarking activities. You will be the first point of contact for day-to-day queries and with suppliers to support price negotiations, general queries and overall performance.

Key accountabilities

  • Management of regular reporting requirements
  • Analytical support for supplier negotiations (including benchmarking activities)
  • Data gathering and analysis to support key projects/tenders/price reviews
  • Supporting process improvements
  • Working closely with Supply Chain team to support business queries around suppliers
  • Pulling together the data from different sources
  • Category responsibility on agreed categories to support progression

Skills required

  • Understanding of procurement processes, policies and best practices
  • Good grasp of data analysis techniques to interpret spending patterns and procurement trends
  • Proficiency in using tools such as Power BI, Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas where relevant)
  • Ability to speak with suppliers and negotiate around prices
  • Able to collaborate with internal stakeholders
