An established building services consultancy is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their team. The business specialises in mechanical, electrical, and public health design, delivering predominantly high-rise residential and commercial projects, with a strong focus on RIBA Stage 4 & 5 delivery.

This is a fully remote position offering a high level of autonomy, with occasional travel to London as required for site visits and coordination. You will take the lead on electrical design across projects, managing both the technical delivery and internal teams, while working closely with the wider design team to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical design on Stage 4 & 5 projects
  • Manage and mentor engineers and Revit technicians
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams
  • Oversee project delivery, timelines, and quality
  • Review technical designs and models
What you'll need to succeed:
  • 8+ years' experience in building services design (electrical)
  • Strong background in Stage 4 & 5 project delivery
  • Experience on high-rise residential projects (desirable)
  • Proven experience working on UK projects, with a strong understanding of UK Building Regulations
  • Proven team leadership and project management ability
  • Degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronic Engineering
  • Experience with CAD / Navisworks (or similar)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work remotely
