Your new role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Services Manager to lead the management and maintenance of electrical systems and infrastructure across a large, complex estate. This is a senior technical leadership role with responsibility for ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence. You will oversee planned and reactive maintenance, manage external service providers, and act as the subject-matter expert for electrical services. The role involves strategic planning, budget management, and driving continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with all statutory and health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the electrical maintenance team, promoting a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.
- Manage statutory inspection and maintenance regimes for electrical and life safety systems, including HV/LV networks, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and generators.
- Oversee external maintenance contracts, ensuring value for money and high-quality service delivery.
- Provide technical advice on compliance, legislation, and best practice.
- Contribute to long-term maintenance strategies and budget planning.
- Act as Authorised Person for HV/LV systems and ensure safe systems of work for all electrical activities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree-level qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
- Authorised Person training for HV/LV distribution systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure, statutory compliance, and health & safety legislation.
- Experience managing maintenance strategies, budgets, and external contractors.
