An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Part-Time IT Support Technician to join and support the organisation's overall IT infrastructure. Based at the company's Head Office in Portadown, with occasional travel to other sites across Northern Ireland, this role will provide hands-on, first-line IT support to internal users.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of day-to-day IT support across the business, ensuring systems, networks, hardware, and applications operate effectively. You will also contribute to internal IT projects and play a key role in maintaining and improving the organisation's technology environment.
What You Need to Succeed
- Proven experience in an IT support role, with hands-on responsibility for managing and supporting hardware, software, networks, and infrastructure
- Experience supporting new starters and leavers, including device setup, account creation, and access permissions
- Strong troubleshooting skills across desktop, server, network, and application environments
- Experience deploying and supporting Microsoft-based devices, mobile phones, VPNs, and associated security requirements
- Working knowledge of network security, VPNs, and compliance best practice
- Experience managing anti-spam solutions and maintaining internal IT documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support users professionally and effectively
- A proactive, ownership-driven approach to IT support, including occasional out-of-hours assistance
- A full, clean UK driving licence
- Minimum 3 years' IT support experience, supporting VPNs and networking.
