Your New Company
Hays Building Services are pleased to be assisting a leading contractor with the recruitment of a Mechanical Foreman (Black Hat) to join their project in Plymouth.
Your New Role
You will be responsible for supporting mechanical safety, compliance, and supervision across the project, provide day-to-day oversight of mechanical activities including monitoring and setting to work of subcontractors, ensuring all elements of the project are carried out safely, in accordance with project procedures, statutory requirements, and relevant mechanical safety rules and safe system of work. You will support the Authorised Person in maintaining safe systems of work, provide frontline supervision of mechanical operatives and subcontractors as well as participate in daily coordination meetings and contribute to planning discussions involving mechanical activities.
What You'll Need To Succeed
You will have a strong mechanical background, proven site-based experience having delivered in this role previously, demonstrable experience supervising mechanical installation works on construction or industrial projects, as well as a safety-focused mindset with good communication and leadership skills.
What You'll Get In Return
This role is being offered at a daily rate between £400 - £440 per day on a long-term interim contract.
