Your new company

You will be joining a well-established and highly regarded civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure works across the UK. With a strong pipeline of energy and infrastructure projects, they are currently supporting the delivery of a battery storage facility in Exeter.

Your new role

As a Civils Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of civil works on a battery storage scheme. This will include drainage installation and reinforced concrete structures. You will be responsible for ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and in line with design specifications and programme requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting out for drainage and reinforced concrete structures
  • Carrying out QA checks, ITPs and maintaining site records
  • Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with design drawings and specifications
  • Supporting site management with technical input and problem-solving
  • Monitoring subcontractor works and ensuring compliance with programme and standards
  • Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
  • Producing as-built records and site documentation

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer within heavy civils or infrastructure projects
  • Strong experience in setting out, particularly drainage and RC structures
  • Solid understanding of QA processes, ITPs, and site documentation
  • Competence with surveying equipment (e.g. Leica, GPS, total stations)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
