Overview
In this role you will join a well-established maintenance team to deliver gas repairs, servicing, installations and heating upgrades across domestic properties. You’ll work from electronic work orders, handling boiler replacements, fault-finding and general plumbing within occupied and void homes. The position supports a safety‑driven, customer‑focused service with opportunities for professional development and a stable, local workload.

Responsibilities
- Carry out gas servicing, maintenance, and installation work.
- Complete boiler replacements and heating system upgrades.
- Diagnose and repair faults on domestic heating systems.
- Conduct general plumbing repairs when needed.
- Ensure all work complies with Gas Safe and Health & Safety regulations.
- Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota.
- Manage van stock and materials to maximise first-time fix rates.
- Maintain records and compliance documentation using handheld technology.
- Support quality inspections, audits, and continuous service improvement.
Key requirements
- ACS Gas Qualifications
- Current Gas Safe Registration
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Proven experience as a Gas Engineer in domestic properties or social housing
- Strong knowledge of gas regulations, health and safety legislation, and safe systems of work
- Must be based within the PE postcode area
