In this role you will manage a portfolio of personal tax clients within a well-established independent practice. You’ll work closely with an experienced tax team to deliver compliant Self-Assessment returns and timely deadlines, while handling client queries and supporting advisory work. The role emphasizes client relationships, tax planning, and collaboration within the team to support business owners, directors, and high-net-worth individuals. Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit Self-Assessment tax returns
- Manage personal tax compliance deadlines and ensure timely submissions
- Serve as a point of contact for clients and respond to tax queries
- Assist with tax planning projects for individuals, business owners and directors
- Review tax computations and returns as appropriate
- Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients
- Support senior colleagues with ad-hoc advisory assignments
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
Key requirements
- Experience in a UK accountancy practice
- Strong personal tax compliance experience
- Experience preparing Self-Assessment returns for diverse clients
