Hays are delighted to be working with a leading provider of high-end consulting and engineering services for projects worldwide, who are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their successful and established Payroll department.
Your new role
- Assisting with end-to-end processing of payroll for over 2000 employees.
- End to end IR35 payroll processing.
- Process the monthly payroll
- Effectively liaise with the external payroll providers.
- Continuously review and update internal and external payroll processes.
- Understanding and dealing with payroll-related queries in an efficient and effective manner.
- To undertake all aspects of pension scheme administration, including auto enrolment requirements.
- To assist with updating the P11D system with quarterly car changes for submission to HMRC and end-of-year data.
- To assist with the change to payroll of benefits.
- To produce weekly and monthly reports for stakeholders.
- Other payroll admin tasks
What you\'ll need to succeed
- A CIPP or similar qualification is preferred.
- Competent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
- An ability to understand working alongside a payroll bureau is desirable.
- Knowledge and experience of IR35 payroll processing is desirable.
- Experience of processing multiple payrolls is desirable.
- Have the ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of calculating and processing statutory payments (SMP, SSP, etc) is required.
- Knowledge and experience of Salary Sacrifice and National Minimum Wage is required.
- Knowledge and experience of manually calculating payments gross to net is required.
- Knowledge of benefit and pension schemes for processing and reconciliation is desirable.
