Job Description

Part-Time Temporary Payroll Opportunity based in Portsmouth Your new company & new role I am working with a Portsmouth-based client who are seeking a Part-Time Payroll Officer to join their team. This is a temporary position, working 24 hours per week, with Flexibility on the days and hours worked. The role is office-based in Portsmouth and offers an immediate start.

The assignment is expected to last at least 4 months, with the possibility of extension. In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting the payroll function, working closely with an outsourced payroll provider and internal stakeholders. You’ll also assist with pension administration and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

Key duties will include: • Liaising with the outsourced payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely payroll runs • Reviewing payroll data and resolving discrepancies • Supporting pension submissions and queries • Maintaining payroll records and documentation • Responding to employee payroll and pension queries • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies What you'll need to succeed You’ll have at least 2 years of payroll experience, including working with an outsourced payroll provider. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a good understanding of payroll and pension processes are essential. Experience with payroll software and Microsoft Excel is desirable.
