Interim Payroll Commission Analyst - Hybrid working - Full time - 153 p/day - ASAP Start - Leeds

The Opportunity

Our client, a well-established organisation with a busy Payroll Department, is seeking a Payroll Analyst / Commissions Analyst to join their team on an interim basis until the end of Dec 2026 with a potential extension to April 2027. This is an excellent opportunity for payroll professionals or analytically minded individuals with experience in compliance, finance, or data analysis. You will be joining a supportive environment where accuracy, problem-solving, and collaboration are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review payroll data and transactions to identify errors, anomalies, and inconsistencies.
  • Resolve complex pay queries, enquiries, issues, and complaints, escalating where appropriate.
  • Complete payroll transactional processing with precision and timeliness.
  • Support the management of payroll credit transfers and emergency CHAPS payments.
  • Ensure statutory deductions are correctly applied and accounted for.
  • Produce and dispatch statutory returns, including those for taxable benefits, within deadlines.

Candidate Profile

We are keen to hear from candidates who bring:

  • Payroll experience or strong analytical/compliance/data-handling skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to manage sensitive queries effectively.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Working Pattern

2 days per week in the Leeds office (flexible days, Monday WFH). Remaining days home-based, offering flexibility and balance.
