Hays are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer to support reactive and planned maintenance across a commercial site in Oxford (OX1). This is a long-term 12-month contract offering varied work across building fabric, lighting, plumbing and general maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to reactive tasks within agreed SLA timeframes
  • Deliver planned maintenance to schedule
  • Liaise with client representatives regarding maintenance and repair activity
  • Carry out site surveys and produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments
  • Repair floor and wall coverings
  • Replace and repair ceiling tiles
  • Undertake building fabric and installation tasks
  • Carry out lamp changes, lighting maintenance, filter changes (AHUs/FCUs) and basic plumbing
  • Use PDA for updates, job completion and communication
  • Complete reactive, PPM and project works efficiently
  • Support minor project work where needed
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
  • Carry out any reasonable tasks assigned by the Technical Services Manager

  • Multi-skilled background in building services
  • Strong fabric repair capabilities
  • Basic plumbing experience
  • Experience with lighting, filters and minor mechanical tasks
  • Confident producing RAMS
  • Good communication and PDA literacy
