Hays are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer to support reactive and planned maintenance across a commercial site in Oxford (OX1). This is a long-term 12-month contract offering varied work across building fabric, lighting, plumbing and general maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to reactive tasks within agreed SLA timeframes
- Deliver planned maintenance to schedule
- Liaise with client representatives regarding maintenance and repair activity
- Carry out site surveys and produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments
- Repair floor and wall coverings
- Replace and repair ceiling tiles
- Undertake building fabric and installation tasks
- Carry out lamp changes, lighting maintenance, filter changes (AHUs/FCUs) and basic plumbing
- Use PDA for updates, job completion and communication
- Complete reactive, PPM and project works efficiently
- Support minor project work where needed
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
- Carry out any reasonable tasks assigned by the Technical Services Manager
Ideal Candidate
- Multi-skilled background in building services
- Strong fabric repair capabilities
- Basic plumbing experience
- Experience with lighting, filters and minor mechanical tasks
- Confident producing RAMS
- Good communication and PDA literacy
- Strong Health & Safety awareness
