This role sits at the heart of the organisation's finance transformation agenda, taking ownership of key finance systems, reporting and planning platforms. The role will play a pivotal part in improving automation, insight and decision-making across the business. Take ownership of the organisation's core finance systems, ensuring they remain fit for purpose, well governed and aligned with business objectives. Act as the key link between Finance, IT and wider business stakeholders, translating operational requirements into effective system solutions. Lead the development and delivery of the finance systems roadmap, driving continuous improvement, automation and user adoption. Support budgeting, forecasting and performance management processes through the effective use of planning and reporting tools. Maintain high standards of data quality, integrity and consistency across systems, reporting and business processes. Manage relationships with external suppliers and system partners, ensuring maximum value is achieved from technology investments. Champion process improvement initiatives that reduce manual effort, increase efficiency and improve decision-making across the organisation. Lead finance system upgrades, enhancements and change projects from concept through to successful implementation. Mentor and support users across the organisation, helping to build confidence, capability and engagement with finance systems. Proven experience working with finance systems, ERP platforms or performance management tools within a complex finance environment. A strong understanding of finance processes, controls, budgeting, forecasting and reporting. Experience improving finance systems and delivering enhancements that drive automation, efficiency and better business insight. The ability to translate financial and operational requirements into effective system solutions. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work across Finance, IT and wider business teams. A track record of leading system change, transformation initiatives or process improvement projects. Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex information to both financial and non-financial audiences.
