Your new role
Organisational Development & Design Specialist – Up to £465 per day, 6 months interim assignment, hybrid, Bristol 1 day, WFH 4 days per week.
This OD & D role is more of the \”harder\” structural elements than the \”softer\” aspects of OD such as culture, behaviours, and people.The focus will be on supporting senior leadership with job role and structure design, Trade Union consultation, coordinating job evaluation, and mapping/matching exercises. While we don\’t anticipate redundancies, there may be changes to current job roles. There will also be opportunities to contribute to the softer aspects, particularly around behaviour change.
As an OD&D Specialist, you will work closely with senior leaders and the OD&D Lead to support implementing operating models and enabling structures that support our strategic ambitions. You\’ll provide expert guidance on organisational design and change, acting as a critical friend to leadership and ensuring alignment with policy, principles, and employment law.
You\’ll be instrumental in embedding organisational development enablers and supporting effective employee and trade union consultation throughout the change process.
What you\’ll need to succeed
The below are essential
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent/ qualified by experience.
- Proven experience in a strategic OD&D or similar role (e.g., HRBP).
- Demonstrated success in delivering OD strategies that shift culture and enable organisational purpose.
- Strong stakeholder, including Trade Unions, engagement and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Experience in designing operating models and structures to meet evolving business needs.
- Ability to build professional networks and drive innovation.
The below are additional desirable skills, experience and qualifications:
- OD&D experience within a Civil Service or Public Sector setting
- Broader HR experience beyond OD&D.
- Project management experience.
