Role Overview
As a developer, you'll take the lead in crafting and implementing Oracle Cloud solutions or managing data migration projects. Your focus will often involve designing and building key components to integrate Oracle Cloud applications, both internally and externally, with other cloud platforms or on-premises systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop cloud integrations primarily using tools like Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Implement robust data migration processes utilizing tools like Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
- Advocate for the value of PaaS solutions within your area of expertise.
- Collaborate with functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to deliver tailored solutions for complex client needs.
- Work with architects and teams to refine best practices and enhance delivery quality and efficiency.
- Expand your expertise in Oracle technologies, progressing toward specialization in integration, data migration, or even architecture and project management roles.
- Stay updated on Oracle technology trends and incorporate them into solution frameworks.
- Design and deliver scalable, high-performance integration solutions and handle data mapping and transformations.
- Support testing cycles and engage with senior stakeholders to strategize, plan, and resolve defects.
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience implementing Oracle Cloud integrations, particularly across Oracle Cloud, third-party vendors, and on-premises systems.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud and eBusiness Suite in areas like Finance, Projects, HCM, and Payroll, including data models and structures.
- Familiarity with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) is highly desirable.
- Ability to solve data-related challenges using integration and ETL tools and methodologies.
- Experience with source code repositories (e.g., Git) and strategies for version control.
- A background in Oracle eBusiness Suite combined with recent cloud experience in tools such as SQL, PLSQL, Java, or Oracle Forms.
- Understanding of Oracle functional concepts, including HCM and finance modules, is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite and SOA implementations.
- Awareness of end-to-end project delivery and implementation methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in distributed (offshore/onshore) teams.
- A passion for Oracle Cloud technologies and eagerness to explore innovative solutions.
- Must hold or be willing to obtain SC Clearance.
