This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of major investment projects, manage specialist surveying and technical teams, and play a key role in shaping the future of housing services.
The role is responsible for planned maintenance contracts, capital investment delivery, asset management initiatives, retrofit projects, contractor performance and ensuring compliance with regulatory and health and safety requirements.
As Operations Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary team including surveyors and specialist property staff, ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
You will oversee procurement activities, contract management, performance monitoring and business planning, whilst driving continuous improvement and delivering excellent outcomes for residents.
Your new roleDuties will be varied and will include: Leading the delivery of planned maintenance and capital investment programmes.
Managing surveying and technical teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
Procuring and managing major maintenance and improvement contracts.
Driving asset management strategies and long-term investment planning.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety, Decent Homes and regulatory standards.
Managing budgets, forecasting expenditure and delivering value for money.
Building strong relationships with residents, contractors and key stakeholders.
Leading service improvements and developing innovative approaches to housing asset management.
What you'll need to succeedYou'll be an experienced property, construction or housing professional with: Ideally membership of RICS or CIOB (or working towards membership).A relevant degree-level qualification or equivalentSignificant experience of contract, project and programme management.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams. Strong knowledge of housing maintenance, asset management and building technology.
Excellent financial, stakeholder and performance management skills.
