Hays are supporting a well-established engineering contractor in hiring an Electrical Estimator to lead the preparation of accurate and commercially competitive tenders across major utilities, infrastructure and data centre projects. This role is central to winning new work, shaping pricing strategy and supporting a smooth handover into project delivery.
You'll work closely with commercial leadership, project managers and engineering teams on high-value national frameworks and technically complex electrical installations. You'll manage the full tender lifecycle, reviewing drawings, defining scope, developing pricing strategies, coordinating supply chain input and delivering high-quality submissions. The role offers exposure to utilities frameworks, large-scale electrical infrastructure and hyperscale data centre environments across Ireland and the UK.
- Lead the full tender process for electrical projects across utilities, infrastructure and data centres.
- Price utilities frameworks, major electrical packages and hyperscale data centre works.
- Source and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations, maintaining strong supply chain relationships.
- Support senior stakeholders on bid strategy, risk analysis and project handovers.
- Collaborate closely with commercial, engineering and delivery teams.
5+ years' electrical estimating experience.
Strong technical understanding of electrical installations, power distribution and HV/LV systems.
Proficient with Excel, Bluebeam, AutoCAD and modern estimating software.
