Overview
In this role, you will contribute to sustainable, energy-efficient building design within a multidisciplinary team. You’ll perform energy assessments, sustainability appraisals, and low-carbon design work across sectors, helping clients meet regulatory targets and environmental goals. You’ll influence projects from concept to delivery, integrating sustainable solutions and supporting certifications. This is an opportunity to drive decarbonisation across diverse building types within an established consultancy.

Responsibilities
- Perform energy and sustainability assessments for new-build and refurbishment projects
- Support building performance modelling and energy calculations
- Assist with compliance assessments against Building Regulations and energy standards
- Advise on low-carbon and renewable energy technologies
- Contribute to development of net-zero carbon and decarbonisation strategies
- Produce technical reports and sustainability statements
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and architectural design teams to integrate sustainable design
- Support BREEAM, LEED or other environmental certification processes where required
- Conduct site visits and collect information to support project delivery
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices
Key requirements
- Degree-qualified in Building Services Engineering, Energy Engineering, Sustainable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related discipline
- Experience in building services, energy consultancy or sustainability engineering is desirable but not essential
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interest in energy efficiency, decarbonisation and sustainable building design
- Good report-writing and communication skills
- Experience with energy modelling or simulation software would be advantageous
- Ability to work in a collaborative project team
- Full UK/Irish Driving Licence
