Operating on a global scale, this company designs and manufactures advanced capital equipment supplied to customers across a range of industrial sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer looking to take the next step in their career, leading complex design projects, influencing new product development and mentoring junior engineers within a highly collaborative engineering team.
As Senior Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of innovative mechanical equipment, supporting projects from concept through to manufacture.
Leading design and development activities for new and existing products
Producing detailed 3D models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings
Managing engineering projects through the full product lifecycle
Conducting design reviews, calculations and technical evaluations
Working closely with manufacturing, procurement and quality teams to ensure successful project delivery
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and design optimisation activities
Ensuring designs meet performance, safety and regulatory requirements
Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Significant experience within a mechanical design engineering environment
Strong 3D CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks, Creo or a similar package
Experience designing heavy engineering, machinery, materials handling or capital equipment products
Knowledge of manufacturing processes including fabrication, machining and assembly
Excellent communication and project management abilities
