Your new company Hays education are currently recruiting for SEND Teaching Assistants in the Northwich area to provide 1:1 support to SEND children in specialist and mainstream primary settings. Due to an increased demand, we have multiple positions available. These opportunities are on a day-to-day, short-term and long-term basis.
Your new role We are looking for highly motivated, passionate and resilient SEND Teaching Assistants to work within a school setting to provide support to children with learning and behavioural needs. As a Hays education Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting children on a 1:1 basis. In this role you will need to establish a warm, caring and supportive relationship with the pupil in order to support them feeling safe and enable them to enjoy and learn during their time at the school and help them reach their academic potential.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Experience of working with children either within or outside a school setting
- Ability to work on a 1:1 basis
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching assistant qualification, ideal but not essential
- Experience working within a classroom environment or a professional environment with children or young people
- Ability to work alongside children with SEN needs
- Fun, positive and outgoing approach
- Understanding of the EHCP is ideal but not essential
- Current DBS or willingness to get one is necessary
