As a Highways Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination and safe delivery of reactive and minor planned highways maintenance works across the local network.

  • Plan and schedule highway maintenance activities using a works management system across multiple delivery teams.
  • Coordinate reactive maintenance, carriageway and footway works, considering traffic management, hazards and resource availability.
  • Ensure all works comply with health and safety, quality and environmental requirements and the local highways authority specification.
  • Undertake site-based inspections and audits to verify compliance with company standards.
  • Support the achievement of contractual KPIs, escalating risks or constraints where performance may be impacted.

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) experience in highways maintenance, network operations or works planning is required. A collaborative approach with a focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement is essential.
