The Role
We are seeking an experienced MEP / Building Services Director to take on a senior, strategic role within the business. This position sits firmly within our Building Services (MEP) team but works closely with our civil and architectural disciplines as part of a fully integrated design offering. This is a key leadership role, combining:
- Client growth (both existing and new)
- Delivery of large, high-value projects
- Team leadership and development
- Financial and budget management
You will play a central role in shaping the growth of the Building Services function while contributing to the wider success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of complex, high-value Building Services (MEP) projects from concept through to completion
- Grow and develop existing client relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities
- Act as a senior point of contact and trusted advisor to clients
- Lead, manage, and mentor the Building Services team
- Collaborate with civil engineering and architectural teams on multidisciplinary projects
- Oversee project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability
- Drive quality, innovation, and technical excellence across all MEP outputs
About You
- Proven experience in a senior Building Services / MEP leadership role
- Strong background in mechanical, electrical, or public health design within a consultancy environment
- Demonstrable success in both project delivery and business development
- Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and financial performance
- Strong leadership and team management capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent) preferred
