About the Role
We're looking for a dependable and community‐minded recycling attendant to join our team in Newtownards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, engaging with the public, and contributing to a cleaner, greener environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Site supervision - Maintain a safe, clean, and well‐organised recycling facility.
- Customer assistance - Help residents sort and dispose of waste correctly, offering friendly guidance.
- Waste management - Monitor containers, ensure proper segregation, and report contamination issues.
- Health & safety compliance - Follow all safety procedures and report hazards promptly.
- Equipment upkeep - Carry out basic maintenance and ensure tools and machinery are used safely.
What We're Looking For
- Strong communication skills and a helpful attitude
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic understanding of recycling and waste‐handling procedures (training provided)
- Reliability and punctuality
- Physical fitness to carry out manual handling tasks
