Your new role As Finance Business Partner, you will support the delivery of high-quality financial management and business partnering services across a portfolio of funded projects and operational areas. Reporting to the Business Partner Team Manager, you will play a key role in the production of management information, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.Key responsibilities will include: Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports. Supporting annual budget-setting and forecasting processes. Producing KPI reports, variance analysis and management information for budget holders and senior stakeholders. Acting as a finance contact for operational managers, providing financial guidance and support. Preparing financial returns and supporting documentation for external funders. Assisting with project costing, contract reviews and funding applications. Processing journals and maintaining accurate financial records. Supporting internal, external and funder audits. Ensuring compliance with financial controls, policies and regulatory requirements. Delivering financial training and guidance to non-finance colleagues where required. Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function. This position is offered on a 3-year fixed-term contract and is based in the Greater Belfast area with a collaborative and supportive finance team. What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate: Qualified or part-qualified status (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA or equivalent). A minimum of 3 years' experience within management accounts, assistant accountant or finance business support roles. Strong experience producing financial reports, budgets and management information. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse and manipulate financial data. Experience working to strict deadlines within a busy finance environment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving. Desirable experience includes: Exposure to project accounting or grant-funded programmes. Experience using cloud-based finance systems such as NetSuite. Knowledge of publicly funded or third-sector environments. Please note that this role is subject to a satisfactory AccessNI check.
