[, [ Your new role As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in the installation, maintenance and servicing of smoke ventilation and life safety systems. Working both independently and as part of a skilled engineering team, you will ensure systems remain compliant, operational and safe for clients across a diverse portfolio of sites. What you'll need to succeed Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on smoke ventilation and associated electrical systems. Attend and resolve reactive maintenance issues across client sites. Respond to emergency breakdowns and call-outs when required. Install, commission and test new smoke ventilation and control systems. Diagnose electrical faults efficiently and implement effective repairs. Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current health and safety regulations. Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism while on site. Travel throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland as required. What We're Looking For We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated engineer with a strong technical background and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Essential Requirements NVQ Level 2 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent). 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) qualification or equivalent. Previous experience within a commercial or industrial electrical maintenance environment. Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Sound understanding of health and safety legislation and safe working practices. Full UK driving licence. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable Experience & Qualifications Experience working with smoke ventilation or fire safety systems, including: AOV systems Smoke shafts Smoke dampers Car park ventilation systems Heat and fume extraction systems Associated control systems Knowledge of EN12101 standards. Experience working with: 24V DC systems 230V AC systems 415V AC systems Basic understanding of pneumatic control systems. CSR/CSCS Card. IPAF Certification. PASMA Certification. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent record-keeping and reporting abilities.
