Your new role involves taking full responsibility for leading the Quality function while working closely with Production to ensure all products meet stringent regulatory, customer, and internal requirements. You will play a key role in driving a culture of zero defects and continuous improvement across the organisation. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical expertise in Quality Management Systems and regulatory compliance. You will lead audits, manage supplier quality, and oversee the effectiveness of systems aligned to EN9100 and Part 21G Production Organisation Approval.
Key responsibilities:- Lead, develop, and maintain compliant Quality Management Systems (EN9100, ISO 9001, Part 21G POA)
- Drive quality strategy and continuous improvement initiatives across the business
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory and customer requirements (e.g. CAA/EASA/FAA)
- Manage internal audit programmes and support external audits
- Oversee supplier approval, performance monitoring, and development activities
- Lead investigations into nonconformances and implement corrective actions (8D, 5 Why, etc.)
- Ensure effective product quality assurance, including First Article Inspections (FAI)
- Act as the primary quality contact for customers and external stakeholders
- Lead, coach and develop teams to embed a strong quality culture
- A relevant third-level qualification or at least 5 years' experience in a quality-focused role
- Proven experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of EN9100 and/or Part 21G Production Organisation Approval
- Internal auditing experience (essential)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
