Your new role As Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders across a range of construction projects. Working closely with senior management, clients, suppliers and subcontractors, you will help drive business growth by identifying opportunities and producing commercially sound responsibilities will include: Reviewing tender enquiries, drawings and specifications. Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions. Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations. Identifying risks, value engineering opportunities and alternative solutions. Preparing detailed take-offs and bills of quantities. Attending site visits and pre-tender meetings where required. Supporting the handover of successful projects to delivery teams. Maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors. What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role, you should possess: Previous experience in an Estimator position within the construction sector. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and procurement. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
