Your new company Hays are supporting a large public sector organisation in Cardiff with the recruitment for a Lead Technical Architect on a 3-year fixed-term contract basis. The role offers flexible hybrid working, typically being on site 1 or 2 days per week. The salary band is up to c£71,500 for someone with the right experience, and you'd also receive an excellent benefits package including industry-leading holiday allowance and pension contribution.
Your new role In the role you will join the established digital services team to lead on technical architecture design across a range of exciting projects, specifically a system integration project. You will work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to provide oversight, guidance and technical support. You will oversee legacy data migration to the new system, ensuring accuracy, minimal disruption, and compliance with data protection standards. You will identify and manage technical risks throughout the project, providing clear updates and recommendations to senior leaders. You will create and maintain key architectural documents, including high-level designs, interface specs, and future roadmaps.
What you'll need to succeed To be considered you'll need to be an experienced Technical Architect with expertise across the Microsoft stack including Azure. You'll need to specialise in technology system interoperability, system development lifecycle and have experience with end to end solution design, working with non-technical stakeholders. Experience working across large complex enterprise IT environments is also important.
