As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient processing of supplier invoices and payments while supporting the wider finance function. Key responsibilities will include:
- Processing high-volume supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Matching purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes
- Preparing payment runs and ensuring suppliers are paid on time
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
- Managing supplier queries and maintaining positive relationships
- Assisting with month-end accounts payable reconciliations
- Supporting the finance team with administrative tasks and reporting requirements
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal controls
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role
- Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues
- Experience using finance systems and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving
