Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted finance partner to operational leaders and translate financial data into actionable insights
  • Review trading and performance metrics to identify profitability opportunities
  • Monitor forecasts and budgets, and explain variances and drivers
  • Support workforce planning and payroll forecasting with robust budget management
  • Track expenditures across areas, collaborating to drive efficiencies
  • Work with operations to manage cost lines and maintain budgetary control
  • Provide analysis and challenge on business cases and assessments
  • Investigate anomalies and cost fluctuations to improve forecasting accuracy
  • Develop KPI reporting, benchmarking and dashboards to support decisions
  • Deliver monthly performance analysis for senior stakeholders and maintain rolling forecasts
  • Support annual budgeting with analysis and recommendations
  • Collaborate across finance, operations and commercial to improve financial visibility

Key requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
  • Strong financial analysis and business partnering experience
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations with multiple income streams
  • Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning experience
  • Excellent communication skills for non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities
  • Confident in challenging constructively and driving accountability
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities
  • Ability to link operational performance with financial outcomes
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using Power BI
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally
