We’re looking for a proactive, driven Commercial Account Handler, with a background in insurance, who thrives on building strong customer relationships and delivering exceptional service. If you enjoy working with a wide range of clients, solving problems, and taking ownership of your work, this could be the ideal next step in your career.

Responsibilities include:

  • Promoting and supporting the SME Team both internally and externally to clients, the insurance market, and other third parties.
  • Utilising client data by issuing renewal notices, making phone calls to confirm quotations, following up on quotations given, and arranging cover where successful.
  • Dealing with customer enquiries as appropriately required.
  • Processing any adjustments and actioning any post/correspondence from clients or insurers.
  • Handling accounts issues and ensuring adequate credit control.
  • Developing the business account in accordance with the business plan.
  • Actively cross-selling within the company where required and suggesting ways of improving the process of workflows for the team.
  • Dealing with enquiries appropriate to experience and expertise with designated broking and placing as suitable.
  • Developing and maintaining good relations with partner insurers, negotiating terms and prices where appropriate.
  • Obtaining sufficient information before advice is given in all cases.
  • Ensuring advice given meets clients’ requirements in all cases and that recommendations and reasons are documented.
  • Conducting a fair analysis of the market with all potentially suitable products considered.
