With a reputation for delivering practical, client-focused advice, the firm offers a supportive and collaborative working environment where people are encouraged to learn, develop and build long-term careers. Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tax Trainee to join the team and begin their professional journey in taxation.

Your new role

As a Tax Trainee, you will join a busy and experienced team, gaining exposure to a broad range of tax matters whilst supporting the delivery of high-quality services to the firm's clients. This is a mixed tax role, providing an excellent foundation across a variety of tax disciplines and client sectors.

You will support the preparation of personal, partnership and business tax returns, assist with maintaining client records, liaise with HMRC and help ensure compliance deadlines are met. Working closely with experienced colleagues, you will develop a strong understanding of the UK tax system whilst building valuable technical and professional skills. Over time, you will be given increasing responsibility and the opportunity to contribute directly to client relationships and wider tax projects.

What you'll need to succeed

You will possess strong analytical and numerical skills, excellent attention to detail and a genuine interest in developing your knowledge of tax. Strong communication skills are equally important, as you will be working closely with colleagues, clients and external stakeholders. A positive attitude, willingness to learn and the ability to manage competing priorities will help you succeed within the role.

Previous experience within accountancy, finance or administration would be advantageous but is by no means essential, as full training and support will be provided.

What you'll get in return

This is an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career within a respected and growing professional services firm. You will receive comprehensive training and mentorship from experienced tax professionals, alongside support towards a relevant professional qualification.

In addition to a competitive salary, you will benefit from genuine long-term career development opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of clients and tax matters, and the chance to develop your expertise within a supportive and friendly team environment.
