We are currently seeking an experienced Revenue Housing Officer to join a well‑established Scottish housing association on a temporary 3‑month contract, with the potential for extension.
You will be responsible for delivering an effective income management service, supporting tenants to sustain their tenancies while ensuring rent is collected efficiently. The ideal candidate will be confident in managing arrears, engaging with tenants, and working proactively to achieve strong performance outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing a patch of rent accounts, taking prompt action on arrears.
- Supporting tenants through advice, early intervention, and signposting.
- Carrying out income‑related tenancy visits and welfare checks.
- Liaising with internal teams and external partners regarding benefits, welfare reform, and tenancy sustainment.
- Preparing and issuing arrears notices in line with policy and legislation.
- Maintaining accurate records and case notes.
- Previous experience in a revenue/income/housing officer role is essential.
- Ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of housing legislation, arrears processes, and welfare benefits.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage a busy caseload efficiently.
- 26.39 per hour (PAYE)
