The Contract Support Officer reports to the Service Delivery Manager - Programme Planning in delivering savings and best practice across a range of contract activities, through optimisation of the procurement processes and procurement systems to deliver both cash and non-cash efficiencies. The post holder will assist in the development of the organisation's procurement capability by working closely with clients to ensure a professional procurement and contracts management approach and in the implementation and continual development of e-procurement tools.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Extended procurement experience gained within a large multifunctional organisation.
- Experience within the construction industry or housing/public sector.
- Experience of tendering and contracting activity, including tender administration, tender evaluation, supplier negotiations and contract award.
- Experienced in the delivery of procurement efficiencies and wider social value.
- Experience of the implementation and operation of electronic procurement solutions, e.g. Public Contracts Scotland, eSourcing Scotland and PECOS.
- Experience of supervising staff.
- Flexible and proactive with a professional attitude and collaborative approach.
