This public sector organisation has a temporary position initially for 3 months. The Procurement Officer will work with a team focussed on programme planning, delivering savings and best practice across a range of contract activities, through optimisation of the procurement processes and procurement systems to deliver both cash and non-cash efficiencies.
The post holder will assist in the development of the organisation's procurement capability by working closely with clients to ensure a professional procurement and contracts management approach and in the implementation and continual development of e-procurement tools.
Strong procurement experience gained within a large multifunctional public sector organisation is required. Ideally, you will have experience of tendering and contracting activities, including tender administration, tender evaluation, supplier negotiations and contract award. Experience of the implementation and operation of electronic procurement solutions is also necessary.
This role offers a hybrid working policy with flexible start and finish times and home working available. A fantastic opportunity to work with a friendly and experienced procurement function.
