A leading UK infrastructure contractor is delivering a major nationally significant project and is seeking a Senior Section Engineer (Structures) to support a key package of works. This is a complex civils scheme with a strong emphasis on structural delivery across multiple work areas.
As a Senior Section Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the engineering and technical delivery of a defined section of structural works, ensuring construction is delivered in line with design, programme and quality standards. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between design and construction, supporting site leadership and ensuring technically compliant delivery.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the engineering delivery of structural works (RC structures, foundations and associated civils)
- Ensuring construction aligns with drawings, specifications and design intent
- Leading technical queries (TQs) and resolving design issues
- Developing short-term programmes and lookahead plans
- Coordinating resources, materials and subcontractors
- Supporting constructability reviews and methodology planning
- Maintaining accurate as-built records and redline drawings
- Managing inspections, testing and quality documentation
- Supervising Site Engineers and providing technical guidance
- Supporting the Sub Agent and Site Agent in achieving programme targets
