We are currently partnering with a client to appoint an Interim Project Accountant on an initial interim basis, with the role expected to transition to permanent subject to performance and business need. This is a high-impact role requiring a CCAB-qualified accountant, ideally available immediately, with strong experience in project, research or contract accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Post-award accounting for research, consultancy and large-scale projects
- Production of invoices and funding claims
- Preparing for and managing contract and funder audits
- Reviewing contract performance and identifying variances, risks and issues
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting across project portfolios
- Oversight of a small team, ensuring a accustomedness, enabling approach aligned to Enable, Delivering and Assuring principles
Candidate Requirements:
- CCAB qualification - essential
- Proven experience in project / research / grant / contract accounting
- Strong stakeholder management and governance focus
- Confident people manager
- Immediate or short-notice availability highly desirable
