Your new company A long-established and highly successful building services contractor is seeking a Project Planner to join their growing team in Banbridge. With a strong reputation across the UK and Ireland, the business delivers complex MEP projects across sectors including healthcare, commercial, residential, education, industrial and data centres. Due to continued growth and a healthy order book, they are looking to appoint a planner to support projects from tender stage through to completion. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planner to join a market-leading contractor and play a key role in the successful delivery of major construction projects. Your new role Reporting to the Head of Planning, you will be responsible for developing, managing and monitoring project programmes across a range of construction and building services projects. Key duties will include: Producing detailed project programmes using Asta PowerProject Developing construction, procurement, manufacturing, installation and commissioning schedules Reviewing drawings, specifications and project information to develop logical project sequences Preparing procurement and information release schedules Supporting tender submissions with planning, logistics and methodology information Monitoring project progress against programme milestones Identifying programme risks, delays and recovery opportunities Carrying out programme analysis and 'what if' scenario planning Supporting extension of time and delay analysis processes where required Maintaining programme revisions and change control records Conducting regular site visits to review progress and engage with project teams Working closely with operational, commercial and design teams throughout project delivery Reviewing and challenging contractor and subcontractor programmes where necessary What you'll need to succeed Minimum 3 years' experience in a planning role within construction, engineering or MEP projects Experience producing and managing project programmes throughout the project lifecycle Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project sequencing Proficiency in Asta PowerProject Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong organisational and analytical abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment Desirable Experience within MEP/building services projects Knowledge of commissioning and installation programmes Experience of delay analysis and extension of time claims Experience using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project What you'll get in return This is an opportunity to join one of Northern Ireland's leading MEP contractors, working on high-profile projects across the UK and Ireland.
