Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a fantastic manufacturer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment, specifically in fabric production. This role requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including day, back, and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues to minimise downtime and ensure continuous production.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimise equipment performance and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- HND or Time Served Apprenticeship
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial automation.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including day, back, and night shifts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
