About the role
Working with the warehouse team you will ensure that products are received, put away, picked, packed, and shipped accurately and efficiently, following the SQD model (Safety, Quality and Delivery). You will be responsible for the smooth operation of warehouse activities, and your focus will be on safely meeting our day-to-day goals and commitments to our customers.
Shifts: Monday to Friday (38 hours)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Receive deliveries and returns from suppliers and customers at the loading bay.
- Load and unload items such as boxes, packages, cages, and pallets using manual handling equipment.
- Check the quantity and quality of goods against the ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) or purchase order.
- Prepare goods for storage and book them into the warehouse management system.
- Locate and put away incoming goods in designated warehouse storage zones.
- Pick and assemble customer orders from various warehouse locations using radio data terminals and picking lists.
- Prepare customer orders for delivery by packaging and labelling cartons and pallets/chemicals for safe and secure transportation.
- Sort customer orders into designated outbound routes on the dispatch bay according to the assigned loading sequence.
- Safely load vehicles, third-party carriers and own fleet, against the manifest loading sequence.
Other stuff we’re potentially looking for:
- Ability to understand written and verbal procedures and instructions in English.
- Experience in warehouse operations such as forklift driving, picking, packing goods, or dispatch.
- Work cooperatively with the team and assist others to achieve departmental objectives and goals.
- Encourage a positive working environment and be flexible within the team.
- Actively support and maintain a high standard of quality, supporting the company quality system, and operating with the customer in mind.
- Seek opportunities to improve efficiency and performance, supporting the PPI system - projects, KAISEN, just do It’s (JDI) and 5S.
