Your new company: My client is a leading FMCG manufacturer, bringing recognisable household brands to the market across the UK. Due to maternity within the team, we are partnering to recruit the role of Product Manager on a 12-month fixed-term basis for the UK business. You will be based hybrid from their offices in Camberley with two days home-working.

Your new role: As Product Manager, you will be responsible for a selection of brands and all products within those brands. As product guardian, you will manage the products from NPD through the stage and gate process, bringing new products to market as well as managing in-life product requirements.

You will:

  • Drive, manage & support the brand's long-term direction & marketing strategies that sit across categories.
  • Strengthen the brands locally and internationally by launching strong NPD rooted in insights and ensuring the marketing strategy and communications are aligned with brand vision.
  • Maintain the brand portfolio by reporting on a monthly basis against the budgeted sales as well as ensuring delivery of annual plans.

You will also be responsible for the management of the portfolio, which means:

  • Delivery of Commercial Plan (Net Sales, Programme Margin, plus brand health and share targets) for the relevant product portfolio.
  • Management of relevant product portfolio, including understanding of formulations, packaging, brands, formats, any regulatory support, and technical knowledge.
  • Working with the communications team to deliver and deploy successful product communications from an agreed plan.
  • Executing projects through the NPD stage & gate process.

What you'll need to succeed: You need previous commercial experience with Product Management, including everything from NPD and stage gate processes to forecasting, SKU management, product launches, retailer visits, artwork briefing, and creating documentation for the sales team. This includes:

  • Experience in a consumer goods business (B2C).
  • Working across all areas of the marketing mix, particularly Brand Management, Portfolio Management and NPD.
  • Demonstrating commercial skills and broad business knowledge - proven experience of contributing to the growth and development of the business.
  • Launching new products and strong experience of working both cross-functionally and with the Sales team and their retailers.

What you'll get in return: You will receive a salary of £40,000 - £50,000 plus a car allowance and bonus.
