Hays are representing a highly respected, industry-leading building services contractor specialising in smoke control, ventilation, climate technology and solar shading solutions. As they continue to innovate and deliver complex projects across the UK, they are now seeking an experienced Commercial Surveyor to join their established Commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional who thrives in a project-focused environment and wants to play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, profitably and in line with contractual obligations.

The Role

As a Commercial Surveyor, you will provide essential commercial and financial support across multiple business units. Working closely with Project Managers, Sub-Contractors and Suppliers, you’ll take ownership of valuations, variations, payments, contract administration and final account agreements. You’ll be part of a dedicated Commercial department with responsibility spanning Commercial Management, Bid Management and Procurement across the UK business.

  • Identify and measure changes during contract progress.
  • Liaise closely with Project/Site Management teams.
  • Help monitor costs against budget and produce forecast final accounts.
  • Measure and agree variation accounts.

Strong understanding of commercial finance within Construction or Construction Services.

Knowledge of HVAC or specialist subcontracting sectors (Desirable).

5 years+ experience with a contractor.

Proficient IT skills across Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Microsoft Project (Desirable).

Desire to work towards a recognised Quantity Surveying qualification (desirable).

After probation, a car allowance.

25 days holiday + 8 statutory holidays.
