Are you a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour? This is a rewarding opportunity to join a specialist primary SEMH provision in South Manchester, supporting pupils aged 5-11 who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education. You will deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, promote emotional regulation, and implement behaviour support strategies. This Manchester-based specialist setting provides therapeutic and educational support to primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs. Operating across two sites, the school offers a structured, nurturing environment with access to sensory rooms, outdoor learning spaces, and a multidisciplinary team including counsellors, behaviour mentors, and educational psychologists. What We’re Looking For:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism, or behavioural challenges
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Team Teach or similar training (desirable)
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
