As Accounts Manager, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted adviser whilst ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting and business advisory services. You will work closely with Directors and Partners, overseeing compliance work, supporting clients with strategic business matters and managing a team of accountants to ensure exceptional service delivery.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and corporate clients
- Reviewing statutory accounts and management accounts
- Acting as the main point of contact for client queries and advisory requirements
- Managing client relationships and identifying opportunities to add value
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members, reviewing their work and encouraging development
- Ensuring client deadlines are met and work is delivered to a high standard
- Assisting Directors and Partners with practice development initiatives
- Contributing to the ongoing growth and success of the firm

To be successful in this role, you will be ACA or ACCA qualified, or a qualified by experience accountant, with previous experience gained within an accountancy practice environment. You will also demonstrate:
- Strong accounts preparation and review experience

- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring staff
- A proactive and commercial approach to client service
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
