A high-end, luxury retailer is looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team! The business has grown by 25% in the last year and has many exciting projects on the way, and therefore needs someone hands-on who can support the business growth. This role is a blend of management accounts, business partnering, small team management and project support. This role has progression to Finance Manager within the next 2 years!
The client is seeking Qualified Finance Professionals with Management Accounting experience - ideally within the retail, consumer or product led sectors.
Your new role
- Ownership of Management Accounts
- Month-end duties
- Prepare and review variance analysis reports, comparing actual results against budgets and forecasts.
- Provide explanations for variances and assist in recommending corrective actions
- Provide input into month-end activities with key commentary on movements and deep diving into any problem areas
- Managing a small finance team of 2 juniors
- Supporting external audit VAT & internal controls
- Cross-functional business partnering
- Ad-hoc project work
- Proactively identify and implement any areas that need improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), with management accounting experience.
- Ideally you have experience within the retail or consumer sectors, however they may be open to different sector experience so please do still apply!
- You'll have the drive & motivation to lead a small team and support the businesses exciting period of growth!
- You'll have the motivation to prove yourself within this role, to be able to be promoted to Finance Manager when the existing Finance Manager is promoted in due course.
