Management Accountant

Our blue-chip client is looking to recruit a Management Accountant to report to a Finance Manager and work with the wider team.

Your new role

You will be a dynamic and detail-oriented Management Accountant responsible for understanding and explaining operational and financial performance to managers, driving a culture of continuous improvement to exceed targets. You will provide clear and insightful management information to senior managers, aiding in the enhancement of operational, service quality, and financial performance. This includes preparing monthly performance reports and contributing to the consolidated accounts. You will be involved in the production of monthly financial reports, support continuous cost-improvement initiatives, and participate in business reviews to understand variances and improve efficiency. Additionally, you will assist in the preparation of budgets, medium-term plans, and forecasts, and identify opportunities for cost reduction. Your role will also involve embedding new initiatives and financial processes, preparing statutory accounts, and continuously improving processes. You will help manage and motivate the departmental team, fostering collaboration with other teams within finance.

What you\’ll need to succeed

You will be an ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified Accountant with extensive post-qualification experience. Strong management accounts, along with the ability to work well with key stakeholders.
