Permanent role
£34,000 – £36,000 starting salary plus vanThis is a mobile role, based out of Dartford but covering Kent, Sussex and London.Full Manual driving licence requiredHold City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 as a minimum
Hays Construction & Property is working with a major property service provider who carries out duties for a large housing association. We are looking for a highly skilled and qualified Maintenance Plasterer.
Having recently taken on additional contracts, they need to bolster and expand their maintenance team. We are looking for a hard-working individual, with a proven track record of working on similar projects within a similar industry sector.
Key Responsibilities
Possess excellent technical skills in all areas of plastering
Have the creative ability to construct realistic and effective props and materials
Plaster and fix fibrous material to film sets so they look authentic and harmonise with surrounding period details
Produce ‘perfect’ plasterwork
Produce effective, distressed plasterwork
Have a good eye for detail.
Visualise the finished project
Understanding complex drawings, specifications and technical literature
Responsible for maintaining van stock
Ensure all PPE is provided and presented prior to engaging in the task.
Ensure you have materials and equipment provided before you undertake task
Ensure that the task is deliverable within the time allocation
Ensure all work does not present a hazard or danger to others
Ensure all H&S documentation (RAMS) is present prior to engaging on task
Experience
Must have a full UK driving licence
Previous experience as a qualified Plasterer is preferred
Ability to use hand tools
Ability to operate small handheld plant such as drills and mixers
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
City and Guilds in plastering 6708, levels 1,2 plus 3
Diploma in plastering level 1 or 2
NVQ Level 2 Plasterwork
CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card
