Joining the team in Inverness in the role of Maintenance Engineer, you will contribute to the smooth running of the Inverness facility.

Your New Role

This role offers an immediate start and a minimum duration of 6 months and will be based on-site in Inverness working on a 4 on 4 off-shift rotation (days and nights). This is a great opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team where you will be responsible for executing all maintenance activities. This will include emergency, corrective as well as preventative maintenance. You will proactively work on your own initiative to drive efficiencies and improvements, but you will also have the support of your Team Leader on shift to help understand the priorities and assign resources as required. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • scheduling downtime for planned maintenance activities
  • diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, vision and PLC faults
  • carry out pre-defined regular maintenance checks
  • assessing and escalating equipment breakdowns as required

What you'll need to succeed

In the role of Maintenance Engineer, you will work collaboratively with the wider team to minimise faults and maximise efficiency of the equipment. To be successful in this role, ideally you will hold an ONC/HNC in Engineering or HND or a relevant engineering discipline or be time served with relevant experience. Strong technical skills are required in both electrical and mechanical disciplines and an ability to logically fault find and route cause all problems for this role. Ideally, you will have electrical, mechanical and pneumatic system knowledge, experience with low and extra-low voltage supplies, an understanding of fault-finding techniques and have practical hands-on skills.
