One of the largest Central Government Organisations is partaking in an ERP Programme moving to Oracle Fusion by 2028 and improving and transforming back-office functions across Central Government.
We are supporting a high-profile client in hiring an ERP Programme Delivery Director, who can take ownership of planning, stakeholder engagement, system readiness activities and business change and transformation requirements across a high-profile Central Government Programme, moving back-office functions to Oracle Fusion.
You will be part of the Synergy Programme, delivering a more modern, continuously improving shared services model, designed by and for the Government, making the client more efficient, effective and able to deliver better for the people of the UK.
This is a leadership role - knowledge of ERP Transformation Programmes is essential, an understanding of ERP technology is required, with knowledge of Oracle Fusion as a highly desired product, but your strength will be across:
- Planning and delivering business change to realise benefits.
- Building strategic partnerships between the internal functions (Finance, HR, Commercial and DDAT) and the Synergy Programme, providing expert delivery knowledge to the client and into the Synergy on best practice to assure transformation is achieved.
- Managing partnerships extending into other government departments within the cluster to ensure best practice is shared.
- Vision setting and stakeholder engagement to gain ownership and sponsorship across the client's estate and its Arms Length Bodies of the transformation.
- Translating the vision into the strategic approach and pathway for delivery.
- Providing strong, visible leadership of the Transformation programme by driving the delivery of the Synergy strategy and the client's vision.
- Owning the Synergy delivery plan, which will combine the activities of the central Synergy plan with the proactive enabling work that the client chooses to do, including representation in the Common Operating Model work and aligning processes across the Departments.
- Providing regular briefings to senior leadership within the client estate advising on changes to the Synergy programme.
- Overseeing internal governance, ensuring appropriate sign off and oversight of Synergy decisions.
- Carrying out horizon scanning for potential future issues that may affect the project's delivery and building relationships and interventions to address these prior to them adversely impacting the project understanding how to mitigate issues.
This is a high-profile and remote role, though travel to core locations where essential is required upon request. We are looking for a long-term interim hire of 12 months+. The successful candidate will have substantial responsibility to make the Synergy Programme a success.
This is a rare opportunity to join a high-profile long-term programme in a leadership role of high importance to Central Government.
